In support of the Van Dykes’ unwavering commitment to Malibu and to the arts and education community, the Malibu High School Theater will be renamed in their honor: The Arlene & Dick Van Dyke Theater.  Alongside this prestigious honor, the Van Dykes have committed to bringing their community together to help raise funds to support arts education in all Malibu public schools through the Van Dyke Endowment for the Arts. 

This event will mark the launch of a landmark campaign:  a $3M endowment to permanently fund arts education in our public schools.  As you may be aware, recent years have seen significant cuts to vital programs, including arts and music, which are essential not just to education but to the human spirit.  

Artistic involvement, whether through performance, creation, or appreciation, enriches lives and is crucial to developing well-rounded individuals.   Our vision is clear:  this endowment will provide a sustainable foundation to ensure that future generations of students have the resources they need to explore and appreciate the arts.
