Chamber Music Palisades Opens Its 28th Season:
Guitar, Vocal Artists, and More
Join us on Wednesday, October 16, at 8:00 pm, in the sanctuary of St. Matthew’s Parish for the first concert of Chamber Music Palisades’ 28th season. This concert will feature guitarist Kenton Youngstrom, faculty at Colburn Community School, performing solo works by Villa-Lobos and joined by Susan Greenberg, principal flute at Santa Monica Symphony and long-time former flutist of Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra in a duet by Castelnuovo-Tedesco. There will also be a special collection of enchanting songs by Handel, Ravel, Berlioz and Copland, featuring soprano Elissa Johnston and tenor Jon Lee Keenan, both soloists with the Los Angeles Master Chorale. The vocal artists are joined by Grant Gershon (piano), artistic director of the LA Master Chorale and conductor of the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
Alan Chapman, KUSC host and long-time Chamber Music Palisades hosts, will provide his informative in-person program notes.
Tickets will be available for $35 online at cmpalisades.org or at the door at 1031 Bienveneda Avenue, Pacific Palisades. CMP offers free admission for full-time students with an ID.
